Excavating the Termitary is a work of literary historical fiction that tunnels beneath questions of authorship, influence, and belief.Set between Europe and South Africa at the turn of the twentieth century, it follows writers, performers, and restless seekers whose lives converge around the mysterious architecture of termites—and of ideas.Narrated from an unexpected vantage, the story explores plagiarism and originality, devotion and doubt, memory and invention.Built grain by grain, the novel asks what remains when the structures we inherit are finally opened to the light.
